The Importance of Positive Self-Talk

Positive self-talk... I know it sounds a bit woo-woo, but it matters.

How we speak to ourselves (especially when things don’t go well) affects what happens next.

Instead of saying, "I messed up, I’m useless", try:

"I tried something new."

"I’m learning."

"I know more now than I did before."

We rarely fail. When you treat life as a series of experiments, you’re only ever gathering data.

When you’re kind to yourself, you’re more likely to keep experimenting, which leads to faster progress, deeper learning, and greater wellbeing.

How do you talk to yourself when things go wrong?
